ABOUT MICHAEL

Born on June 17, 1989, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Michael moved to Boston, MA, in the early '90s, where he began his journey as a creator. Fascinated by both engineering and the arts, Michael had access to only one of these fields initially. By the age of 14, he joined Thomas M. Menino’s Boston Mural Crew as a Teen Muralist, and soon after, he began his entrepreneurial journey at Artists for Humanity.

After graduating high school in 2007, Michael ventured into freelance work in New York City, collaborating with prominent names like BET, Nickelodeon, and MTV. By age 24, he founded Sandy River Customs, a creative design business that served hundreds of clients across the U.S. His work included motion graphics, advertisement design, creative strategy, graphic art, layout design, and consultation.

In 2019, during the pandemic, Michael decided to pursue his second passion: engineering. He taught himself how to tear down and rebuild his first motorcycle. His newfound interest led him to Franklin Cummings Tech, where he earned his automotive certificate in 2021.

Today, as a father of two, Michael is focused on building and uplifting communities. Drawing from the diverse lessons learned throughout his career, he has organized community events, supported non-profit organizations with marketing and advertising, and rallied behind initiatives for positive change. As an advocate for diverse communities, Michael now seeks to inspire others through ALIVIXI™, a brand dedicated to legacy-building and sparking creative growth in communities.
