Dragon Phamily Skate Team
When Dragon Phamily (DP) first began, it was all about building community and having fun through a shared love for skateboarding. My goal was to gather as many young people as possible who were passionate about the art of skating. I teamed up with local artists, and we met nearly every weekend. By the summer of 2010, we had brought together over 60 skaters from neighborhoods across Revere to Hyde Park.
Inspired by the strength of our group, I began designing a brand around the team.
Dragon Phamily was born, and with income from my work as a graphic designer, I personally sponsored the team—providing food, clothing, skate gear, and even shelter when needed. After relocating from Dorchester to Revere, I hosted regular gatherings to support and uplift youth skaters. Our team grew strong, and the connections we built within our communities became the true foundation of what Dragon Phamily stood for.
